1993 MUSTACHE CONTEST WINNER!

BACK TO CERAMIC WONDERS RETURN TO INDEX

Clayton Bailey's mustache was officially measured during the 1993 Bull Valley Mustache Festival held in Hayward, California. Tip to tip, his mustache measured twenty four inches, thanks to the daily application of Clayton Bailey's Mustache Grower. This secret protein formula is used for daily grooming and feeding of his championship mustache. It lengthens and stiffens the hair, and prevents it from getting snarled and tangled. It also acts as a fire retardant in the mustache.

Although Mustache Grower is not available at this time, we recommend Clayton's Mustache Oil to all mustache enthusiasts. It is available only from this web site. Not for sale in stores.

MUSTACHE GROWER JAR- 1991

Clayton Bailey's secret "super stiff" organic protein formula Mustache Grower comes in a hand-made, wheel thrown porcelain covered jar with a photo-silk-screened underglaze label showing its inventor's prize winning mustache. The jar is 3.5" in diameter, and holds about 4 ounces of Mustache Grower. (SOLD OUT)

MUSTACHE TIPS:

Want to grow a long handlebar or Fu Manchu mustache of your own?

1 - Keep your mustache combed and waxed or oiled day and night.
Otherwise, long hairs will tangle and get knotted if they are allowed to hang naturally. The knotted hair will break-off, causing the loss of precious inches of mustache.
A waxed mustache will not lose so many strays, nor is it so likely to get caught in your zipper jacket, or your mouth. An unruly mustache could choke its sleeping owner. Save your stray hairs in a jar. You'll be amazed by the way they accumulate.

2 - Keep your mustache away from fire. Years of growth can be lost instantly in a stinking cloud of smoke. A heavy coating of protein stiffener will act as a fire retardant.

AN ODD FACT : Since 1983, Clayton Bailey has collected thousands of his own mustache hairs that accidentally came out during washing, waxing and oiling. Individual hairs are up to12" long.

He plans to eventually make a mustache mattress out of them.
