SOUFFLER'S FURNACE- 1987

BACK TO CERAMIC WONDERS RETURN TO INDEX

Souffler's Furnace shown here in the dark. By some miracle of alchemy, it contains real lightning bolts within its glass dome, and inside its belly; is a furnace with a glowing porcelain embryo "incubus" floating above a small simulated fire.

Resembles distillation apparatus that might have come from an alchemist's lab in one of Brueghel's drawings.

"Souffler's Furnace" - 1987
